about us

The gym we wanted didn't exist here, so we opened it.

FTV began as Frank  writing programs for people who were tired of guessing. The coaching worked. Doing it alone didn't. A screen can't fix your setup, and a PDF has never once talked anyone into the last set.

So we built the gym. Same programming, but now there's a coach who knows your name and your goals, a spot on the bar when you go for the weight you weren't sure about, and a dozen people training beside you who want you to get it. Classes stay small on purpose, because you deserve to be coached, not counted.

This is a gym built on the belief that you're capable of more than you've been told. Not someday, not after you get in shape first. Starting the day you walk in.

You don't have to earn your way in here. You already belong. Everything scales to where you are today, every rep gets coached, and the only person you're being compared to is the one who walked in last week. Come as you are, and let the work do what the work does.

Because the hour is hard on purpose. Hard is where the change lives. You pick up something heavier than you did last month, you finish a round you would have quit on in January, and somewhere in there the story you've been telling yourself about what you can handle starts to fall apart. That is the point of all of it. Not the numbers, not the mirror, but the quiet proof that you are more capable than you gave yourself credit for.

And you don't do it alone. There's a coach watching your form and a room full of people who know exactly how the hard part feels, cheering the same way for the person hitting a personal best as for the person who just showed up on a day they didn't want to. Do that enough times and it stops being something you go do. It becomes who you are.

To show you that you're capable of more than you think.

frank

co-founder and coach

I'm a husband and a father of two crazy kids. I spent almost ten years in law enforcement and built FTV Fitness on the side, keeping my own health and fitness work behind the scenes until I finally put myself out there and started coaching one on one online. In 2024 I started coaching and managing a group fitness facility in Northern Liberties, and the people and the community there changed my life. So I bet on myself one more time, and that's what this gym is. No matter what's going on in your life, know that I'm showing up over here every single day, right there with you.

jill

co-founder and coach

I started coaching in 2019 as a spin instructor and kept coaching straight through two pregnancies. Around the same time I began coaching at an all women's gym, where I also served as Head of Nutrition helping women build strength, confidence, and habits that stick. Outside the gym I work full time as a social worker for the School District of Philadelphia, and that work shaped how I coach: how we move, how we fuel ourselves, and who we surround ourselves with all change how life feels. Some of the most meaningful work of my career has been coaching women through pregnancy, postpartum, and starting over after years away. Wherever you are right now, that's where we'll start.

meet the coaches

Alongside Frank and Jill, four coaches round out the team, each one strong in a different corner of this: endurance, strength, competition, starting over. Whoever you are, somebody here gets it.

I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who believes the strength you build in here shows up everywhere else in your life. Fitness changed mine, and it taught me that consistency and showing up on the hard days matter more than lifting heavier or moving faster. As a HYROX and DEKA competitor I'm always chasing my next challenge, and I love watching people find out what they're actually capable of, so every class I coach is built to feel challenging and supported at the same time. Outside the gym you'll find me at my corporate job, cheering on friends, at a concert, or hunting down a new restaurant and ordering dessert first.

I've spent years competing across CrossFit, marathons and ultramarathons, HYROX, triathlons, and competitive running, and all of it taught me the same thing: there's no one-size-fits-all approach, just consistency, smart programming, and a willingness to keep showing up. I also coach track for a long-running CYO program, where I get to help athletes of every age build confidence and fall in love with moving their bodies. Whether you want to finish your first race, get stronger, feel better, or compete at a higher level, my job here is to give you the structure, accountability, and support to actually get there.

I'm Kristi, a wife and mom to four amazing kids. For more than twelve years I've been a Respiratory Therapist at CHOP, so helping people through hard things is pretty much my whole life. Fitness has been part of mine since I was a kid playing sports, and strength training has stayed part of it ever since. I'm a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, which sharpened how I coach movement and keep people training safely. What I love most is the encouraging part: watching someone build confidence and walk out stronger than they were yesterday. Whether you're just getting started or chasing the next level, I'm in your corner.

I'm Marisa Devine, and after some time away I'm glad to be coaching again. I was born and raised in Northeast Philly and recently moved to Holland with my husband, toddler, and dog, and I teach special education in the Centennial School District, so Southampton already feels like home. Fitness has been part of my life for as long as I can remember: I was a competitive swimmer, any body of water is still my happy place, and I spent years coaching at an all women's gym. I can't wait to help build this community with you.

No dramatic transformation promises. Just honest work, coached properly, three days a week, for as long as you want to keep getting stronger.
