Sauna Options From First Hand Experience

Salus Saunas

Durasage Sauna

  • Sit all the way inside the tent, I got rid of the small chair it comes with

  • Turn on the sauna tent and foot heater to the max temp

  • Pre-heat for at least 15-20 min

  • I typically last 15-30 min

  • Post workout or first thing in the AM

  • Sauna then cold shower or cold plunge if doing in the AM

  • It’s not as effective as a legit 180 degree sauna but this tent gets the job done

Affordable Option From First Hand Experience

How I created my cold tub for under $800:

  • 14.8 cu. ft. Chest Freezer (Home Depot)- Frigidaire is on wheels which makes it easier to empty when cleaning

  • Calk the entire thing

  • Fill 6 to 8 in. from the top

  • Plug it in and turn to coldest

  • 1/2 cup of Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, Natural Cleaner (Amazon)

  • Plug into Inkbird ITC Digital Temperature Controller Outlet Thermostat (Amazon)

    • This makes the freezer only run when It goes 2 degrees above your set temperature

    • Mine is set to 37 degrees

  • 2-5 min cold plunges

  • Empty and clean as needed

    • If you get in post-sauna and sweaty, you will obviously need to clean it more often

    • I clean mine about once every 3-4 weeks
